Replying to “Okay first day people: how are we feeling? Excited / confused / already lost on campus?” Many people know each other already because of the pre-study event. Nonetheless i found a nice friend group after several weeks because a person approached me about something in a computer science course and we started talking. If you are open to meet someone, try talking to people, even if only about the material at first. Many newer students are looking for friends anyways, even if they already have a friend group.

Replying to “I know comparing yourself to others is stupid, but ETH really makes it hard not to. There’s ALWAYS som...” i can definitely relate to this. For me it was a matter of learning to accept that there are always some people that understand things really fast. Most of the time this is the only difference and if you give yourself the necessary amount of time i'm sure you'll be fine with understanding the material.
